I presume you do not want to just boil the ramen noodles and add the packet. I have been living off those noodles back in the college days for some time and hope that you will enjoy the ideas from me and my ex roomate.

Ramen Noodle Salad

Boil the bag of ramen noodles as instructed.(without adding the packet of MSG or whatever they have in the bag)

Rinse it under cold water

Chop up 1/4 tomato, 1 hard boiled egg, and some lettece.

Chill everything, including the noodles.

Add "Thousand Island Dressing" and serve cold.

Ramen With Beef/Chicken/Pork and Vegetables.

Slice beef/chicken/pork and marinate them.

Stir fry them until cooked.

Steam the vegetables.

Cook the noodles as instructed and add everything in the bag.

Serve hot with the meat and vegetables on to of the noodles.

Stir Fry Ramen

Cook the ramen but not fully cooked since we do not want the noodles to get too soggy.

1 egg beaten and have it stir fried, then cut into strips.

1/2 onion, chopped and stir fried.

A few string beans/mushroom(whatever you have that can be stir fried)

Stir fry the noodles together with the other ingredients that you have, add soya source to taste.

being of a less-than-wealthy family, i had a LOT of experience with ramen noodles in my childhood. I liked throwing a slice of cheese on them, after they were cooked and in the bowl. I used American cheese. i also tried A1 stake sauce, which gave it a little kick. My mom would also occasionally add a can of vegetables, like peas, so it was then more like a soup. good luck.

Are you just talking about instant Ramen noodles? If so, my favorite is Beef flavor. I simmer/boil some cut up chicken until it is cooked. Then I take the chicken out and put it with the noodles in a bowl. Using one of those wire strainers to get out that white frothy stuff from the chicken, pour the boiling hot water (boiling the noodles directly make them mushy) into the noodles and let them soak it up for about 3 minutes. If you aren't talking about instant Ramen noodles, someone else may enjoy this, so oh well.

Sorry, I know I'm not really answering your question, but Ramen is really bad for you - it has a lot of MSG and other preservatives. Eat it in moderation.

When I was stationed in Korea with the Army, I learned to love ramen. Now, when I travel with the government, I eat ramen quite a bit. I will load up on some ramen to save as much of my meal allowance as possible - what I don't spend, I get to keep. To prepare ramen in a hotel room, put some water on the coffee pot. When it gets hot, break up the ramen into four sections and put it in the pot. It takes a little bit longer for the noodles to get soft enough to eat, but if you like ramen, it is a pretty good, cheap road meal.
